HD & 4K Filming
Filming is of course one of the most important factors for any video project and so we guarantee that every piece of footage we film is captured on professional broadcast-standard cameras and lenses to ensure your footage is always of the highest quality.
With decades of experience between us and award-winning cameramen, our camera-crew know how to make your footage look good whether it’s through the framing of the shot or by lighting the set in just the right way. Our techniques will ensure you always have great looking footage and there are numerous methods in which we can shoot your video, for example we can film in slow motion for a smooth cinematic look, handheld on shoulder rigging equipment for dramatic effect or use tracking equipment to give a steady effect for added movement. Whatever style you want us to film in we will be able to accommodate accordingly and we will discuss this during the pre-production phase and show examples of each style so you can make an informed decision.
We have two filming options for any project.
- High Definition (HD)
- 4K Ultra HD (4K)
If you’re not sure what those mean then not to worry! We will always consult you during the project development phase on which is the best format to shoot your video. The main point here is that we never film on anything under HD as a rule, and if you would like to make your project 4K then we have top-quality cameras which will capture every moment in the highest resolution possible.
For reference, HD is the best option for online videos since it’s a smaller filesize for streaming but still high quality to ensure you have a professional looking video. Whereas 4K is better suited for TV broadcast videos as it’s always best to shoot in the highest possible format to give the best look no matter what size screen the video is being viewed on. Please note due to the large filesize of 4K footage your project costs will increase due to additional storage and extra time required to handle large 4K files.
