360° Virtual Reality Video Production
One of the most recent advancements in the world of video has been the addition of virtual reality, 360 degree videos to enable viewers a fully immersive experience whilst watching videos. Using broadcast quality 360 degree cameras we’re able to film a complete environment which we then ‘stitch’ together in a virtual editing program and can then supply any video to be viewed in a 360 VR experience to really enhance any video project.
Recent advancements in technology have enabled virtual reality 360-degree video to be an affordable option for any sized project. VR video is now the most immersive way to showcase your video to all viewers by 360 video capabilities now implemented by the likes of YouTube and Facebook. A 360 video enables you to show a customer everything within a 360 degree realm, proving a great choice for being able to view rooms and areas for corporate videos or an action-packed experience if you want to really ‘wow’ your audience.
The process is similar to all other styles of filming however it usually involves the setup of the specialist 360 VR camera and then the team vacate the area to ensure when a user watches the end video that they can freely look up, down, left and right without any restrictions. It is also possible to use a presenter to camera in VR videos in which the speaker will stand in front of the camera and can then actually point to areas behind the camera which will create a truly cerebral effect for the viewer to be able to look behind them and reference what the presenter is discussing.
Once filming has been completed we then ‘stitch’ the footage together which enables the video to be uploaded to 360-capable platforms (YouTube, Facebook etc) and then freely viewed by users with smartphones or VR headsets.
