Hey everyone
Just a quick post about a problem I noticed many people online were having and although I’ve seen a lot of “I’ve solved it!” comments on forums etc, they’re not actually telling you how! So here it is:
Firstly, I noticed this issue occurred when transferring from a certain SD Card and it turned out that the MB/s rate wasn’t fast enough to cope with the transfer rate so I switched over to an SanDisk Extreme Pro 95 MB/s card which seemed to do the trick in one case so bear this in mind when using slower rate cards.
Also if you have recently updated your Mac to the OSX Mavericks system you may find that your Final Cut Pro software crashes when you try to Log and Transfer your Canon EOS footage from the card, I personally had this issue and was pulling my hair out for hours trying everything I could think of, but the solution was a simple download which was a little tricky to find – So below is the download link, simply download this latest version of the E1-Plugin and you’re problem will be solved 🙂
Oh and please ignore the fact that it’s on the ‘Canon 60D’ webpage, the plugin will still work the same for the EOS-1D Mark IV, EOS 5D Mark II, EOS 7D and EOS 60D
Anyways I hope this helps some others out there struggling with the same problem!
Cheers
