Video Production Price Guide

We know it can be quite tricky trying to calculate how much a video project is going to cost and so we’ve tried to list our prices on this page as clearly as possible and separated the costs into their individual services for filming, editing and animation. Unfortunately when trying to get a solid idea of costings it can sometimes be a ‘how long is a piece of string?’ scenario so if you’re unsure of anything then please feel free to contact us directly and we’ll be glad to write you up a definitive video production quote and proposal.

Filming Price Guide

Our pricing for filming is simply charged per camera-operator – so for smaller projects we’ll usually just use a single camera-operator who will arrive with the relevant kit and get straight to work! Then as projects get larger and require more cameras and equipment etc we will need to use multiple camera-operators/crew but will of course let you know exactly what the costing will be during the quotation stage.

Full-Day Filming

£25000Per Day
  • 8 Hours (Between 8am – 8pm)

Hourly Rate

£5000Per Hour
  • Hours Before 8am and After 8pm

As standard our prices all include a single camera operator who will arrive with a broadcast-quality HD Camera kit, single microphone, lighting kit and autocue/teleprompter if required. If the project requires 2 cameras then we will provide a 2-camera crew who will each bring the same kit…and so on! This list of kit will cover the majority of video projects however we will charge additionally for advanced kit requirements on a daily basis (drones, cranes etc).

The only additional charges outside of hiring a camera-person will be the cost of mileage, tolls and any parking costs incurred whilst traveling to and from the filming location as well as hotel and food costs if overnight accommodation is required. Mileage is charged at 30p per mile and tolls/parking/hotel fees etc are charged as to what price is paid on the day and we will of course provide copies of receipts in these instances. All costs will be discussed during the planning stage however so you needn’t worry about getting an unexpected bill at any time, we will always be upfront about all project costs.

We also regularly gain international filming projects and are happy to travel to anywhere in the world if required. In these instances we will simply charge any additional travel fees incurred including flights, hotels, taxi fares and food etc. Whenever undertaking larger international projects we will always write up a detailed production plan, proposal and quotation prior to any production taking place to ensure full transparency.

Video Editing Price Guide

Unlike the cost of filming, editing is much easier to quote since it doesn’t require any travel or additional costs – it simply requires our talented team to sit in a dark room with a powerful computer and do what they do best…edit! These costings work on the same basis however of full and half day rates and we simply charge for the amount of time it takes us to edit your footage together – which sounds much simpler than it actually is. Editing is ‘where the magic happens’ and therefore can be a very time-consuming process in regards to logging and transferring footage, watching hours of footage to choose the best clips, editing the best clips in a coherent but entertaining way, choosing the right music track, adding voiceovers and sound effects, creating and inserting titles and animations, exporting the video into the correct format…the list really does just goes on and on!

Full-Day Edit

£25000Per Day
  • 8 Hours (Between 9am – 6pm)

Half-Day Edit

£12500Per Half Day
  • 4 Hours (Between 9am – 6pm)

Whenever we edit any video we always include our ‘one list of changes’ policy within our editing costs which entitles you to see the first draft of the video then make a list of as many changes as you would like to the video. We then make all the relevant changes and create your fine video. The only additional cost incurred for editing is the cost of a project hard drive which we use to store all of your footage and files on which can either be kept at our office for safe keeping or returned to you a the end of the project.

Additional Costs

There are a range of additional costs which can be incurred for any production however we will of course discuss this with you during the quotation/planning stage so please don’t worry about us adding in hidden costs, we are always as transparent as possible with all costing. As a rough idea of the sorts of additional costs that may be required please see the list below:

This is used to store all of your files on and for us to work from for the duration of your project. This hard drive can then be returned to you upon project completion or stored in our office for safe-keeping in case you ever wish to revisit the project in the future.

Royalty Free Music Track(s) (Approx £30.00 per track)
One of the most important aspects of using a video online or on TV is that you must have copyright-free music. If you try to use a music track which you don’t own the rights to then you are likely to have the video removed or be filed with a legal case. So we will always ensure to use music which is royalty-free in your video to avoid these issues.

Voiceover Narration (Ranging from £50.00 – £200.00 per script)
This is mainly used for information videos and is where a professional voiceover artist will read aloud your script which we then edit over the top of the audio in your video. The prices depend on how good you want the voiceover to be and how long your script is to be read.
