Our Story So Far

Aether Productions was technically founded back in 2006 by Kelvin Packham and Holly Jarrett back when we were studying film degrees at University. Whilst learning about the filmmaking production in year 1 we were offered an opportunity to film a friend’s fitness event (thank you Lincoln!) which we did some-what successfully and very quickly learned that our skills of filmmaking transferred seamlessly into corporate video production. That quite simply was the spark that ignited Aether Productions and the ‘rest is history’ as they say!

We were lucky enough to continue gaining new clients thanks to the success of our first project and then produced numerous corporate videos throughout our 3 years at university which gained us great knowledge in the world of video production and business. Once graduated, we then officially founded the business in 2009, trading as ‘Aether Productions’ whilst already having a good client-base and a lot of experience under our belts. In case you’re wondering…’Aether’ (actually spelled æther) was a term conceived by Greek Philosopher Aristotle as the ‘5th element’ and in our youth we thought this was the greatest word ever and therefore called our business after the term with the concept that we bring the 5th element to video…however this now feels like a slightly pretentious period we were going through at University and have ever since continued to explain the meaning behind this hard-to-spell word and are constantly having to phonetically spell out on calls! But enough of the history lesson.

Since 2009 have we have had the privilege of working with numerous great clients, not just the big names but genuinely nice clients and we always look back in fondness when we work with a client that we automatically just ‘gel’ with and continue to keep friendly/professional relationships with many of our clients. As is required in these bios I need to drop a few names (*clang* sound effect at the ready!) so just to mention that we have worked with prestigious names and produced videos for clients such as Reebok, Panasonic, University of Greenwich, Kent County Council, Royal College of Surgeons…just to name a few and remind people that although we are really friendly, we do have a corporate side!
